Barry Taylor

Managing Director, Technology Group

Barry Taylor is a Managing Director in the Technology Group at Warburg Pincus and head of the Menlo Park office.  He is focused on the firm’s investments in Silicon Valley and also works actively with its professionals in Asia, particularly engaged in investing in China and India.  Prior to joining Warburg in 2000, Mr. Taylor was a partner with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, PC, a venture capital and technology law firm in Palo Alto.  He is a director of vCustomer, a provider of India-based outsourced voice and on line customer support, and Aicent, a provider of mobile data services.

 

Mr. Taylor received a B.A. from Dickinson College in 1970, Phi Beta Kappa, with Honors in political science.  He received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1975, where he was a member of the Law Review.

Vivek Pathela

As Senior Director for NETGEAR, Vivek Pathela is charged with the product management, marketing, brand development, P&L and strategic direction of NETGEAR’s consumer and home networking products business.  He owns the company’s product lines of wireless LAN, broadband routers, powerline networking, storage central, and multimedia networking.  Prior to NETGEAR in 2000, Vivek was at Hewlett-Packard for 15 years and served in various product management, marketing and systems engineering positions at HP’s Computer Systems Business HQ in Cupertino, CA as well as at HP’s Asia/Pacific regional HQs in Japan and Singapore. 

 

Vivek holds a BS degree from Tufts University with an honorary double major in computer science and international relations.  He has also completed the Executive Management Program (EDP) at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and participated in executive studies at the Haas School of Business/UC Berkeley.

Victor Dominguez

Victor Dominguez is the Chairman of ETSI PLT (Powerline Telecommunications) committee and Chairs or contributes to several other key industry groups including, IEEE, Cenelec, UPLC, CISPR, PLCforum and UPA.  He is a Co-founder and Vice-President of Strategy & Standardization at DS2.  He has also participated in product development, including the PHY and MAC layers.  Prior to DS2, Victor was involved in several research and lecturing positions at the leading technical institution in Spain, the Universitat Politècnica de València, and also as a consulting expert to the European Commission.

 

 

Chano Gomez

Chano Gomez is Vice President for Technology and Strategic Partnerships for DS2 and heads the North America operations.  He joined DS2 in 1999 as a Design Engineer in the System Architecture Group and rapidly assumed positions of increasing responsibility including Head of Applications Engineering.  His pioneering work in Powerline Technology has led to several patents.  He holds a degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de València, Valencia, Spain.
