John Lyon
Associate Director, Wharton School

John is the Associate Director for the West Coast WEMBA class at Wharton School. John directs all admissions, interviews and ongoing program activities related to the San Francisco-based class at Wharton School.
Prior to joining Wharton, John spent 8 years at New York University's Stern School of Business most recently as Director, MBA Admissions. He also spent two years at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business in both the Admissions and Alumni Relations Offices.
Mr. Lyon graduated from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota with a B.A. in Marketing and did graduate level work in Humanities and Social Thought at New York University.


Dev Kurbur
Foundry Networks

Dev Kurbur has 16 years of professional experience in IT industry. He has held positions in engineering, marketing, professional services and customer services in the communications and software industries. He started the professional services business at Octel Communications and grew it to a $10M business within 2 years. At Lucent Technologies, as Senior Director, he was responsible for a $160M services business. At Cymerc, an ecommerce startup, he was the Vice President responsible for business and customer operations. He is currently at Foundry Networks where he is responsible for a $40M services revenue stream.
Mr. Kurbur has a bachelor's and masters in computer science and a MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.


Varsha Rao
Vice President of Category Management at Keen

Varsha Rao was Founder and Co-President of Eve.com, a beauty e- commerce company that she sold in May, 2000. Prior to founding Eve, she worked on consumer and technology projects at McKinsey & Co. and at Wasserstein Perella, an M&A investment bank in New York.
Ms. Rao has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA/BS from the University of Pennsylvania. Presently, Ms. Rao is Vice President of Category Management at Keen, the leading person to person marketplace for live advice.


Shekhar Somnath
Management Consultant for PRTM

Shekhar is Management Consultant for the Pittiglio Rabin Todd and McGrath (PRTM) Mangement Consultancy. Prior to joining PRTM, Shekhar held management positions at Motorola Cellular Infrastructure Group in Chicago, Illinois. While at Motorola, he was responsible for formulating business and marketing strategies for GSM based cellular infrastructure products. He has published several technology and management articles focused on the communications industry.
Mr. Somanath has a BS Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mysore University, India. He earned his MS Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Marquette University, Milwaukee. He also holds a MBA from University of Chicago with concentrations in Strategy, Marketing, and Finance.
