We would like to inform you about a very exciting new service running
on our website, at http://www.homeindia.com/post. It is known as Online
Post. Basically, here we offer a service to anyone located outside
India,
and typically Non Resident Indians, to come to the site, and type out a
message / letter addressed to their friends / family in India. This
letter comes to our mailbox, where we print it, stuff it in an envelope,
and post it out by regular postal service, to the desired recipient
address in India. Most importantly, we offer this service absolutely
FREE! In this manner we have been able to provide a means to utilise
technology, and benefit even those in India, who are still far away from
the Internet or email. The service has also met a very basic need for
people to communicate. Since Indians are especially emotional people,
the service has come as a real boon to our community.
The service has been operational for about 3 months now. We are handling
an average of more than 800 messages each day. We have handled a total
of around 50000+ messages so far, from about 15000 unique senders. Our
site is getting roughly 3500 hits each day, from very eager and
appreciative NRIs all over the world. We have senders from USA and
Canada, as also from the Gulf, from Europe and from Australia / New
Zealand as well. If you see the Bulletin Board set up on the Feedback
section on our BBS, you will appreciate the popularity and the success
of the service.
As mentioned earlier, we have been providing this service absolutely
free.
We are looking for some sponsors to support this service now. As it is
the Non Resident Indians who are major beneficiaries from this service,
we hope that there will be few amongst them, who can consider to become
a sponsor for the service.
We are willing to give maximum recognition to sponsors. This can include
banners on the website and appreciation / advertisement messages on the
letters being posted out locally in India. We have also been covered
extensively in Indian media, including television. In all further
exposures of this nature, the sponsor will be acknowledged very
prominently.
The sponsor will not only earn phenomenal goodwill from the Indian
community,
but can also find direct and immediate commercial benefit, if he is
offering
products and services for the Indian community - in India or outside.
We hope to hear from interested sponsors now. With warm regards - Sanjay
