Seattle, November 18, 1998
Mrs, Mr:
As a graduate student in business, I would be very interested in joining =
a venture capital firm for an internship beginning in spring of 1999. I =
will be spending 3 months as a financial analyst at Procter & Gamble in =
Paris, from January to March, and would be available any time from =
mid-April to mid-September.
I am fascinated by the opportunity given by the venture capital industry =
to work with entrepreneurs helping to build firms, to mix financial and =
strategic skills and to see the formation of cutting-edge businesses and =
technologies on a daily basis.=20
Through my experiences, especially as president of ACCEDE (see resume), =
I learnt how to judge market opportunities and people, how to evaluate =
business plans and how to be a responsible self-starter. In addition to =
my ability to work with numbers, I expect my experience at Procter & =
Gamble to strengthen my knowledege of financial models and my management =
skills.=20
I would bring these skills and my determination to your firm to help =
focus on deal sources, evaluate industry position of potential =
investments and perform financial analysis.
I hope my application will meet your approval. Please feel free to send =
me an e-mail.
Sincerely,
Guillaume Genot.
