Update on VC one-on-One

Fellow members, I would like to announce, with immense pleasure, that the
first VC One-On-One organized by SIPA, was a resounding success as all the
available 12 slots for the meeting on Friday, got taken up within a day of
final acceptance of business plans. 15 plans were shortlisted and 12 were
accepted. Also there are many plans, which got accepted, but due to a lack
of availability of space, they could not be called for the One-On-One. What
this means is that we will organize another One-On-One, in the beginning of
1999, for which the partners at Onset have agreed and will be allocating us
the dates shortly. The priority will be as follows:=20
Total availability of space 12
First preference to those plans, which made it in this round, and which were
accepted by Onset Ventures.
Second preference to applicants who were accepted in this round, but could
not make it, for the actual meeting.
Third preference to any new applicants.
Keeping this in view, I would urge all potential applicants to have the
draft of their business plans ready, so that the moment the second
VC-One-On-One is announced, you'll are ready to grab the avialable slots. I
am of the opinion that this is going to happen in mid to end Jan 1999.
