SENIOR TECHNICAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT ETIRNA
Company Description:
Etirna is an early-stage e-commerce startup in b-c retail that provides
an elegant, consumer-friendly, personalized on-line shopping experience
focused on the
high-end clothing business. Positioned as the "Personalized Nordstrom",
Etirna's goal is to become the category killer in the on-line apparel
business. The team
is experienced, led by Sramana Mitra, Founder-CEO of 2 prior Internet
ventures, including Intarka, Inc. funded by NEA.
Etirna currently has openings for two senior, technical positions:
1) Job Opening for VP of Engineering:
We are looking for a VP of Engineering who will be responsible for
managing overall technical development of Etirna's e-commerce system.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software
development in a fast-paced commercial environment. Familiarity with
Unix and
e-commerce would be a plus.
Significant management experience is required, especially in large-scale
software development.
Prior startup experience will be highly appreciated.
2) Job Opening for Chief Architect:
We are looking for a Chief Architect who will be responsible for
designing and developing an ambitious e-commerce system with heavy-duty
dynamic catalog
generation, AI searching, and data mining for consumer oriented clothing
retail.
The Chief Architect will work closely with Etirna's senior technologists
in designing and developing this system.
Design of our e-commerce system will involve developing a significant
amount of software in-house, as well as integration of existing,
commercial applications.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in databases
(especially Oracle), data mining, and software design (including C++ and
Java) and must
be very familiar with both the Unix and Microsoft operating systems.
Experience with AI techniques like NLP and Expert Systems would be a
plus.
3) Other technology positions:
Design and development positions are also available for specific
segments of the system - NLP, Expert Systems, Data Mining, Trend
Analysis.
