Hi folks

i read a similar post earlier but found no replies. my position is
somewhat similar -
I am a computer programmer paid *by* firmA working at firmB (pay-cheque
is sent by firmA). At both of these companies, as part of the joining
procedure, i signed ("standard" ?)forms which basically say that all
processes, ideas that i develop, invent etc. during the period
i am there belongs to them.

Q - How legal/enforceable is that ? what are my rights ?

Reason i Ask - If this were the case, how is all the silicon
valley/alley/hill/... innovation happening? most of the people you read
about were working for some
company & got togather and started another company.

Background - I am planning to start a ecommerce company. The only
commonality between my work & the new company will be the software tools
used viz, Microsoft IIS & ASP etc.

Q-2 - Assuming the worst case, what are my choices? fyi-i have already
registered a domain name & started development in my spare time.

Thanx
Sunit
