Yes,
There are other funds that are focused on the Venture Capital / Private
Equity area, for the Indian market.
One of them (I think) is called Indus Venture operating from Bangalore.
Its general focus is on Software start-ups.I do not readily have the
contact
names with me.
Other private equity funds that may not provide seed / first round
capital,
but pick up equity well ahead of an IPO is the Jardine Fleming Electra
Fund.
Electra is part of the giant Jardine Group of Hong Kong.
