Software Engineer (Multiple positions)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This person will play a key role in developing a unique online service
for
the Web. The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in
internet
programming and in architecting product components.
As a senior software engineer in a startup, this person is a
self-manager
who is quality-minded and able to tackle responsibilities independently.
This person has experience authoring high quality, maintainable and
extensible code and also has exceptional communications skills in
English.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of full-time Java, C++, SQL, HTTP, JavaScript.
- Experience implementing Java Servlets.
- Experience in database programming and administration for Oracle.
- Experience in architecting product components.
- Pluses include: DHTML, JSP, XML, Perl.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This person will be responsible for setting up and managing Assisto's
computers and networking equipment. This person will also diagnose and
rectify connectivity, security, or Internet application problems and be
responsible for software and hardware upgrades.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Computer Science or related field.
- 5-10 years UNIX (Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD) and Windows NT Server
system
administration experience.
- Experience with security issues for UNIX and Local/Wide Area
networks.
- Experience with DNS, NIS, Mail and Network News.
- Experience implementing Internet solutions for load-balancing,
high-availability and scalability.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to program in Perl or write Shell scripts.
