Just got the confirmation from Susan of Onset Ventures, that it is
time for the VC one-on-one again. The last time around with them was
also on a December. Maybe it is the month that they like. Anyway here
are the details:
1) A total of only 12 slots will be allocated. What that means is that
you'll will have to act fast. While 12 slots will be allocated, 50
executive summaires will be shortlisted (the first 50 that we receive
and pass on to Onset. Actually I stand corrected. SIPA or it's
representatives will not view your Exec Summary. Anyone representing
to the contrary please ignore them)
2) On receiving this e-mail please indicate your interest in

On receiving the above, I will accumulate the list and start passing
it on to Susan, a week from today (1st list), two weeks from today
(2nd list) and three weeks from today (3rd list). No more after that.
Get a life folks, it is Thnksgiving and i do want to do other things
in life.
From then on Susan or her rep. , of Onset Ventures, will contact
you'll directly and ask for your Exec Summary. At the cost of sounding
anal DO NOT SEND ME OR ANY SIPA REPRESENTATIVES YOUR EXEC SUMMARY,
send it only to Onset and only when asked to do so, directly by Onset.
3) The actual date of the one-on-one is Dec 14 1999, from 2 to 5 p.m.
30 minute slots will be allocated by Onset, based on their review of
the Exec Summary. The decision as to who gets a slot will be made by
Onset, on reviewing the Exec Summary. This will be communicated to
Your's Truly, who will then communicate directly with you'll.
4) A few caveats:
-- SIPA is not responsible for the final outcome of the meeting
---The Ventcap group does not guarantee that every one selected for
the final meeting, by Onset will be funded. That is for the VC to
decide.
--- Do not jump the gun and reach Onset directly, on the grounds that
you'll are SIPA members, they will not respond. Yes , yes I know Bud
Fox did that to meet Gordon Gekko , in the movie Wall Street, to
telling effect, but neither is this Wall Street, nor in the VC -
Gekko, so please, play by the rules.
5) Finally in case someone is not selected do not bother the VC, for
reasons, since they are swamped anyway and definitely do not bother
SIPA or Ventcap, since we have no clue as to why someone got funded or
did not.
Well having said that , let's go for it and for starters respond to me

case you'll are interested and remeber time is of essence.
