Just FYI,

The anonymous request put fourth by me was from the Human Resources
Director of the company that I work for- called Deloiite & TOuche. The
job was for a start -up which is going for the final round of
financing and so require a full team (over and above the funding by
the CEO).

- All those who responded (including the ones on phone) were requested
to confirm by e-mail

_ All their e-mails have been forwarded to my HR Director

- It is common knowledge that Big 5 consulting firms often recruit for
their clients, as do, VC's

- This recruitemnt is tied to final funding so it is as much a VC
request.

_ The HR Director has not revealed the name to me (and frankly I
did'nt ask) . I trust the HR director of a Big 5 firm. He would'nt
have made it to Big 5 Director if he was'nt a person of ethics

_ Actually the D & T HR director thought that the letter was pretty
humourous and not cheap and drove home the point that there are plenty
of start-up founders in the valley, who will tell their staff that
they are strapped for cash and end up buying a $60k car or a
$1million, house the next morning.

I rest my case

It is indeed unfortunate that a serious Venture
Capital forum like SIPA is being turned into a Job
Board and that too a cheap & crony anonymous request
like the one sent by Vivek.

I request that all of us refrain from such irrelavent
and anonymous postings ( especially if it does not
identify the individual)

what does he have to hide?

A few months back a so called anonymous money bag sent
out a mail looking for Start-up ideas to fund. I know
more than a few people who have sent out information
and we have not heard since from this Indian American
money-bag.

My final submission to this group is that we focus on
VC funding & not recruitment or Renting of office
space or buy furniture and that any solicitation be
with atleast a minimum back-ground information about
the person soliciting.

Rahul

Hi Folks,

I have been contcted by a prominent
Indian-American (with deep
pockets), today and he is looking for a CTO to
head the infrastructure
development of an internet company.
Qualifications (using my
contrarian approach to life)- High energy person
and the younger the
better.

What deep pockets means in a laymens term is that
it is that unique
combination of a start-up that pays a huge salary
from day one over
and above the stocks (so no more sob stories of
being strapped for
cash hence a salary is not possible but stocks is
ok).

In case of any interest please contact me at the
following:

I can assure you that it is not my start-up
(heaven help humankind the
day i start a company), but what i cannot reveal
is the name of the
indian american. In case of interested potential
candidates, the
information will be given in time.

Sincerely,

Vivek "Not Only Does One-On-One " Kumar
