You have 3 options:
1. If your site gets a lot of hits (10,000/day??), then there are a
bunch of
online companies that deal with advertising, like DoubleClick/AdForce.
2. Purchase a publishing server...such as DoubleClick's AdServer....and
deal
directly with advertisers.
3. Create your own custom solution and deal directly with advertisers.

BLATANT PLUG*)
Your site traffic, budget, and technical expertise would be the deciding
factors one which ones to go with.

lodging advertisements on my site. In other words there are companies
who are willing to put in Advts and how do I host them on to my site.
I believe that there are technologies available wherein the appearance
