Yes, it's not the idea or the b-plan that drives in the funds to a great

extent but 'the jockey' who matters. Believe me there are ladies and
gentlemen i know who have gained VC funding with just a 2 page executive

summary!!! I have seen it happen. Millions changed hands just like that!
So
yes people matter unless you realllly have done some brilliant homework
and
can convince them you can do it!

Just to give you an example - if I am looking at pumping 10 million in a

project, if Sabeer Bhatia comes to me for this money, I will not think
twice. However if I have a bunch of college freshers, I would want to
ensure
my money is not going down a never-ending drain!

Thus another aspect is if you don't have strong experienced people at
the
helm, you can expect the VCs' to keep an extra close tab on you. They
may
even want to be some part of the decision cycles...rare but i have heard
it
happen. However if you have an impressive management team, you can rest
assured that you will not hear from the VCs' till pre-decided and/or
imperative.

While I am not a venture capitalist, I am in personal touch with some
VCs'
for the project that I am currently working on.
Fill me in on your background/plan and let me see if i can assist more.
I am
very open to associating with passionate / workaholic people, with ideas

that have the potential to change the way the world operates!

Good Luck!
