Moderator:
I'm pretty new to the list and was wondering if you
could send out a brief description of what is and
isn't acceptable on this list. For instance-people
post questions that i would like to read the responses
to. However, if the responses are of no value to
anyone but the original poster, ie, "Hi Raj, let's get
together on Sat. to discuss this in detail." Then I
agree-no need to send the mail to this list.
I hope responses to people's questions are allowed on
this list-that is of great value.
Thanks in advance.

You are right in saying that some questions are of
generic nature and add value to others. They are
already forwarded to everybody.
For example if John Doe asks for advise and people
reply then those are not personal messages. However
if John Doe asks for investors to get in touch with
him and an investor writes back with "Hey John
send me your project plan" That is a personal message.
There is no value to that message being broadcast.
It it NOT easy for me to throw out such a message,
knowing how difficult it is to get funding; so I end
up forwarding it anyway.
The bottom line
Contributors should realize that people who
subscribe to "VentCap" don't exactly have lots
of time to throw around. Keep your messages
short and meaningful. Lets keep the message to
noise ratio as HIGH as possible.
Thank you
